Staff and Volunteers
The staff and volunteers at Candy's Place are there to serve the patients in ways no doctor's office can. We have our specially trained nurses on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to speak directly with the patient and their family to calm and reassure them.
The oncology nurse will schedule a time convenient for the patient to meet face to face in our newly decorated living room at Candy's Place where the dim lighting and comfy, overstuffed furniture surround them with a sense of peace and relaxation.
The oncology nurse will sit with them for as long as is needed to answer any and all questions they have, and give them a sense of hope in dealing with their cancer.
Candy's Place has volunteer opportunities for everyone including patients and survivors. Volunteering in our loving environment will hopefully take their minds away from their troubles, if only for a few hours they spend with us.
